2025 Open House
The Cotton Valley Rail Trail Club held our annual Open House this past weekend, and while attendance was a bit smaller than in past years, it was still a wonderful success. We were thrilled to welcome families, riders, and curious visitors who came out to learn more about the history and operation of rail cars, explore the trail, and enjoy a fun day in the community.
Guests had the chance to see our motorcars up close, ask questions about how they work, and of course, take plenty of photos. Take a look at our photo gallery here. One highlight for many was picking up a shiny new bell for their bikes—a small token that CVRT hope brings a little extra joy to trail rides this summer.
Events like this don’t happen without a lot of helping hands. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our dedicated volunteers, who put in countless hours preparing, greeting visitors, and sharing their enthusiasm for the rail trail. We’re also grateful to the families and individuals who took the time to stop by—your interest and support keep our club moving forward.
The Open House is always a special opportunity to celebrate the Cotton Valley Rail Trail, connect with new friends, and share our passion for rail cars and trails alike. Even on a quieter day, the smiles, conversations, and sense of community made it a memorable event.
We look forward to seeing you out on the trail, and at our next event!
